Schüco Sun Shading CTB in Schüco Façade SFC 85

Schüco CTB (Concealed Toughened Blind) sun shading is sun shading that is integrated into the SFC 85 façade and offers exceptionally high wind stability up to 30 m/s
With the integration of Schüco CTB sun shading in the Schüco SFC 85 façade, the blind is fitted in an insulated installation space in front of the intermediate floor. The guide tracks of the sun shading also serve as façade cover caps and are perfectly embedded in the appearance of the façade.
The sun shading is constructed from micro aluminium louvre blades. Optimal shading is possible and at the same time a high level of transparency provides views to the outside. Operated using a 230 V motor, the roll-up louvre blade blind can be concealed in the SFC 85 façade for a cohesive façade appearance. The extruded aluminium louvre blades can be incorporated perfectly into the external design of the building as their outer surfaces can be anodised.
The Schüco high-performance CTB sun shading can withstand extremely high wind loads and can be installed almost irrespective of wind conditions. The sun shading has been tested up to a wind force of 30 m/s, which corresponds to a force 11 wind, i.e. a violent storm.
The total solar energy transmittance gtotal has been calculated depending on the angle of the sun. In summer, with the sun is at angle of 50º, less than 2% of the sun's energy entered the room. This significantly reduces heat build-up in rooms and the associated energy costs.
Planning benefit
- Wind stability up to 30 m/s guarantees sun shading even on windy, sunny days and on tall buildings
- Protection from heat in summer thanks to complete shading when the sun is at an angle of 20° or higher
- The blind has a high level of transparency of 23%, ensuring good views to the outside at all times
- Louvre blade guide by means of guide profiles surface-mounted on the façade mullions
- The special louvre blade shape directs diffuse light inside and ensures pleasant room lighting
- Available in 6 anodised colours (C0, C31-C35)
