Combined burglar, bullet and blast resistance for maximum security requirements

The S2es-w series aluminium high security window stands for versatile, inter-compatible burglar, bullet and blast resistance up to the highest resistance classes.

The system successfully withstood break-in attempts with high-performance power tools (e.g. jigsaw and large angle grinder) up to the highest class RC 6, ballistics tests with rifles and armour piercing ammunition up to the highest class FB7-NS, and blast resistance tests with up to 500 kg of explosives.

The construction was tested as a complete window unit including glazing and wall attachment.

In the SÄLZER® SYSTEM, the windows can be combined and integrated with all door and façade systems. This guarantees complete burglar, bullet and blast resistance up to the highest resistance classes.

The block window with concealed vent has maximum thermal insulation and stands for sophisticated designs and design freedom. Various tested design options, such as fixed lights, bottom-hung vents, turn/tilt vents and window doors are available for individual solutions and installation situations, and to meet architectural requirements.

The window construction offers maximum security against criminal activity and terrorist attacks, and provides additional protection against the negative effects of incidents and accidents, such as those in the chemical or petrochemical industries.

Identical profile face widths guarantee a visually neutral and uniform appearance. The security components are integrated in the profile core so that no additional profiles have to be fitted from the outside.

Fabrication benefits

  • Test has been carried out on a complete unit, including glazing and wall attachment.
  • No screw fixing for glass retention beads thanks to the design of the profile geometry.
  • No bonding required for glass irrespective of resistance classes and combinations.
  • For security reasons, the high security units are purchased as a building component through Sälzer.
