Becoming accustomed to new machinery can take a long time, which is why Schüco provides free training on how to use the machine both at its Milton Keynes training academy or at the fabricator’s factory.

Richard Snape, Estimator & Designer of Aluminium Solutions, elaborates on the training experience with Schüco and why they’re installing one of the Schüco machines:

“We’ve worked with Schüco for a long time as its reputation is one of high-quality and reliability, so it made sense to test its fabrication machines. We wanted the process to be more automated with less manual input to make the fabrication process faster, alleviate mistakes and improve the quality of finish.

“The AF310 CNC machine was a pleasure to work with and we’ve now had it installed in our factory– it’s easier to operate than other machines we’ve worked with. The Schüco Engineering Trainer was excellent too – he was easy to follow and learn from, but he was also good at identifying who needed more time. This was crucial for us as we had a couple of less experienced workers from the shop floor joining the training session.”

Stephen Greenall, Technical Engineer (Machinery) for Schüco, elaborates on the decision process involved with purchasing a Schüco fabrication machine: “Purchasing a Schüco machine is a big investment, so we’re careful to take the time with customers to train them properly and ensure that they will be receiving the best lifetime support available.

In addition to the free training, Schüco also provides free lifetime hotline support once you purchase one of its fabrication machines.

Whether they are based in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, Schüco engineers can gain remote access to your fabrication machine should you require any assistance. They can diagnose any service issues, provide technical support and assist for any other potential issues. If required, a UK-based engineer is also available for on-site visits.

Ian Butterworth, Director at L2i, explains how the Schüco AF310 machine has transformed the L2i factory: “I was expecting it to take some time for us to get used to the new machine, but it’s remarkable how quickly we’ve all picked up how to operate it. Previously we used a programmable router and none of us had much experience with a CNC machine, but now we’re running jobs through it all the time - it’s been such a quick turnaround.

“I’ve also been greatly impressed with the post-purchase service that Schüco provides. Knowing they have a 24/7 helpline that can help in a variety of ways gives us peace of mind. You don’t get product support like that anywhere else.”
