Privacy Notice – Careers Portal (e-recruitment)
We are delighted that you are interested in our Careers Portal. Protecting your personal data is important to us. To find out how we handle your personal data when you use our website for information purposes only, please see the general privacy notice of the company you are apply-ing to. You can find this in the “privacy policy” or “data protection” section of that company’s website.
In addition to purely informational use, our website also offers various optional services.
To use the Careers Portal, you need to provide additional personal data.
This is subject to the principles of processing set out in the relevant general privacy notice, as described above. Unless otherwise agreed or special provisions apply, that applies in addition to this Privacy Notice.

1. Consent to use of data

Your personal data will be processed and used for the purposes set out in the applicable privacy notice.
By giving your consent, you also agree that employees of the company handling your applica-tion can use your contact details (name, email address, telephone number) to get in touch with you.
Your consent also includes the transfer of your data to particular departments or to branches of the company in Germany and abroad for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.
2. Withdrawing your consent/data
You can withdraw your consent to the future collection, processing, retention and use of your personal data by the Careers Portal e-recruitment system at any time by sending an email to career@schueco.com or by writing to the following address:

3. Collection, processing, and use of your personal data
When you use the Careers Portal, you share personal data with us. Personal data means any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes your name, address, email address and telephone number, as well as any additional information you provide, such as details about your CV or qualifications or application documents including certificates, references or diplomas.
This data, information and documents (hereinafter “data”) is collected, stored and used exclusively for purposes connected with recording and processing your online application, including preparation for hiring if applicable, unless you have additionally consented to receive other information from us.
You can use the Careers Portal to apply for positions advertised.
We use external providers to process your data. Great care was taken when selecting and engaging these providers; they are bound by our instructions and are checked regularly.
If you submit a paper application, your original documents will be returned to you by post once we have entered your information into the Careers Portal system.
If during the application process we ask you to state your gender by specifying a chosen form of address, it is solely to ensure that we address you correctly in communication. We ask you to state your age or date of birth because some of the roles we offer are subject to statutory minimum age requirements.
4. Data retention
Duration of data retention
If your application is unsuccessful, your data will be erased after six months.
Please be aware that if you do not use the standard application process offered by the Careers Portal, and instead send your application to the email address of a named staff member rather than the general address for applications career@schueco.com, your email, together with any attachments, will be archived in compliance with our statutory data retention obligations and we will not be able to erase your information at the time specified above.
Data retention if your application is successful
If your application is successful, the data you provide will subsequently be used for the purposes of your employment in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Applying with your XING or LinkedIn profile
You can use your XING or LinkedIn profile to add further information to your application. If you do provide information in this way, we will only receive information that is requested in the application form. You can edit this information after it has been uploaded. We will not receive any other data concerning you from XING or LinkedIn. We will never send any application data to XING or LinkedIn.
