Schueco and LIXIL Partner to Expand Low Carbon Building Materials in Southeast Asia
Bielefeld/Tokyo. LIXIL Corporation ("LIXIL"), maker of pioneering water and housing products, and Schueco International KG ("Schueco"), a provider of aluminum sashes and curtain walls that combine excellent thermal insulation performance and design, announced an agreement to integrate LIXIL's PremiAL series into Schueco's low-carbon profiles, set to launch in Southeast Asia.
Promoting glass recycling
Bielefeld. Whether it's conservation of resources, saving energy or sustainability: the reuse of glass is becoming increasingly important in the construction industry. To promote the recycling of glass, Schüco and Saint-Gobain Glass Germany have formed a collaboration. Together, the two companies want to make use of waste glass from existing buildings to develop the material cycle and consolidate the flow of material.
“Square” Learning Centre newbuild, HSG St. Gallen
Bielefeld. Open, transparent, flexible and simple. Designed by star Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, this is the impression made by the new “Square” Learning Centre at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). The floor-to-ceiling glazed façade units with special Schüco AWS 90.SI CCF (Closed Cavity Façade) profiles required the highest level of precision in prefabrication, transportation and installation from all of the construction specialists involved.
