70 years of innovation – Schüco celebrates a milestone birthday
The path to success of the building envelope specialist
Bielefeld. Founded in 1951 as Heinz Schürmann & Co., Schüco International KG is celebrating its 70th birthday this year. What was once a six-man outfit is now a leading building envelope specialist for windows, doors and façades with over 5650 employees worldwide and an annual turnover of 1.750 billion euros in 2019.

Sälzer GmbH has been part of Schüco since 2018. Sälzer products are resistant to break-ins, break-outs, bullets and even blasts, as demonstrated by this façade following a blast test with 500 kg of explosives.
