Fire doors

Fire doors separate sections of buildings from one another and prevent the spread of fire. They function as fire protection barriers, giving people more time to evacuate the building and ensuring that fire-fighting operations are safer and more effective. The fire doors must be technically equipped to withstand fire over a specified amount of time, shield people from heat and be opened again afterwards.

Multifunctional doors which deliver more than just fire protection

Schüco fire and smoke protection systems offer a lot more than simply a fire protection barrier. They are security systems, meaning they also offer protection against burglary and vandalism. They provide safety barriers and ensure sound reduction. Depending on security requirements, they can be adapted to suit various situations. And, of course, we offer barrier-free options, too. Planning flexibility and design freedom are combined in a single system. With up to a million cycles of use, the quality and functionality of the product have been reliably tested and offer long-term security.

Beauty is not everything. Stunning design meets maximum security

Good design need not be compromised by security requirements. Schüco fire doors are intelligent system solutions which offer maximum security alongside outstanding design. They allow for fluid transitions between the fire protection units and standard series, meaning security is provided in exactly the places where it is needed. The aesthetic of the building is not disrupted and you retain absolute design freedom. The result is comprehensive concepts which offer developers, architects and clients a high level of planning reliability with timeless designs and optimised energy performance.

Concealed fittings It's what's inside that counts.

The Schüco generation of concealed, profile-integrated fittings is shaped by the guiding architectural theme of “Reduction to the essentials”. The compact construction of the concealed door hinges satisfies high architectural demands and provides complete barrier-free access. The elegant design and clean lines are rounded off with a concealed door closer.

Aluminium or steel It’s your choice!

Every material has its own advantages. It can therefore be difficult to make the right decision. The good news is that Schüco offers both aluminium and steel fire doors.

Sustainable From the very start

Our approach to 360° sustainability is to consider every stage of a building throughout its lifecycle. We therefore develop all of our products in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle principle and ensure that they can be easily recycled at the end of their lifespan. The materials are then fed back into the industrial cycle to be used in new products, without any loss of quality. This principle turns buildings into valuable material reserves for the future and helps to significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
