Combined burglar and bullet resistance – perfect for large commercial projects

Be it a bank, government building or embassy – large commercial projects in particular place stringent security requirements on windows. The Schüco AWS 90 BR (Bullet-Resistant) window system offers individually tailored burglar and bullet-resistant solutions for applications in a wide variety of building concepts: in addition to turn/tilt, tilt-before-turn and side-hung windows, fixed glazing can also be constructed.

Two crucial planning benefits of the system: burglar-resistant and bullet-resistant properties can be combined perfectly. Thanks to uniform profile face widths, the aluminium constructions are visually indistinguishable from standard Schüco window systems and can therefore be integrated harmoniously into a building's overall appearance, in line with the Schüco maxim that “increased protection doesn't have to be visible”.

Fabrication benefits

  • Based on: standard Schüco AWS 90.SI+ window system
  • Standard Schüco system benefits are retained, e.g. weathertightness, sound reduction and thermal insulation
  • No profile inserts required for burglar resistance
  • Simple enhancement for bullet resistance using aluminium inserts in the outer chambers
  • Combination with burglar and bullet-resistant Schüco façade systems
