Particularly suitable for steel
"Steel" is a very broad term. When we talk about steel, we are generally referring to iron-based materials that contain a certain proportion of carbon. Starting with these "basic elements", various alloy elements are added to steels with the aim of producing the ideal material and achieving the preferred properties. Corrosion resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance and weldability: these are just some of the properties that can be positively or negatively influenced by alloy elements. It is important to note that these elements often do not influence only one of the above-mentioned properties of the material. For example, chromium increases strength but also reduces the weldability of the steel.
